Diane B. Medley, CPA-ABV, CVA, CGMA, Managing Partner and Co-Founder, Mountjoy Chilton Medley
Diane Medley is the Managing Partner and Co-Founder of MCM LLP, a CPA and advisory firm ranked as one of the Top 100 in the United States. In this role she determines and executes on MCM’s strategic goals, including industry and service area expertise and geographic growth.
Ms. Medley has led the firm through several mergers and acquisitions, making MCM the largest CPA firm in the region. Currently with five regional offices and nearly 300 employees, MCM is known for its expertise in such industries as manufacturing, construction, real estate, financial institutions, insurance, healthcare, hospitality, auto dealerships and non-profits and governmental entities.
Serving as Managing Partner since the early 1990’s, Ms. Medley is a member of an elite group of female leaders and ranks highest in the US among other female Managing Partners based on firm revenue for 2012-2014. She was the first female managing partner of a CPA firm in this region, the only female managing partner of a firm in the Top 100, and the only such woman to be a founding member of the firm. She also co-founded and served as Managing Member of several other businesses including Meritrust, LLC, a full service financial services company,
which has been recognized as one of the Fast 50 in Louisville.
Corporate board experience includes five years on the board of Brinly-Hardy, a private, multi-generational family company based in Southern Indiana. Ms. Medley is also actively involved in the Louisville community, currently serving as Incoming Chair of Greater Louisville Inc., the Metro Chamber of Commerce; Vice Chair of the Hardin Memorial Hospital Foundation; Board Member of Nucleus, a regional leader in business incubation for entrepreneurs engaged in innovation and research; Louisville Steering Committee Member of 2020 Women on Boards; Membership Chair of the Louisville Women President’s Organization; Member of the Louisville Chapter of the International Women’s Forum; and member of the AICPA, the KYCPA, NAWBO Louisville Chapter, University of Louisville Entrepreneurship Council, and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.
Ms. Medley earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisville (UofL), where she was also named Valedictorian of her class and Outstanding Senior in accounting. She is married with four children and five grandchildren and resides near Louisville, Kentucky.
