History of Women Leading Kentucky:

2000 – Founded as a small business
2000 – First annual statewide conference
2000 – Established first Board of Advisors
2001 – Roundtable Networking Luncheons established
2001 – Awarded first three college scholarships to women attending college in Kentucky
2004 – Established as a non-profit and formalized Board of Directors & bylaws
2004 – Developed Advisory Council
2008 – Initiated Strategic Plan for 2009-2012
2009 – Hired Sonia Boniface as Assistant Director
2009 – Leased office in Downtown Lexington Public Library
2010 – Organized Professional Ambassadors program to reach out to young professionals
2013 – Janet Holloway retires, Carol Siler named Executive Director
2014 – Networking After Hours established
2016 – Moved to present location on Euclid Avenue
2017 – Awarded 7 scholarships bringing total awards since 2001 to over $150,000
